Lesson from comedian’s cautionary tale
REY BENITEZ, office employee: “A word of caution to local celebrities: Next time you do something that’s supposed to be done only in the confines of your bedroom, make sure that no camera is in sight—or sees you!
“My heart goes out to the comedian whose career is suddenly in limbo after figuring in a sex video scandal. I wonder what his handlers are doing to salvage what’s left of his once rosy career? The noontime show he used to appear in isn’t the same without him.”
Other notes:
Jean Katada, cashier: “Rufa Mae Quinto’s recent guesting on a noontime TV show reinforced some people’s perception of her being just a pretty face. She co-hosted a game portion where contestants were tasked to guess the title or singer of a song being played, and she couldn’t get it right.”
Insightful

“She has become a looker, and her voice is a breath of fresh air—thank God it isn’t of the lung-busting variety, but in the mold of Kitchie Nadal and Aia de Leon of Imago.”
Tess Canares, housewife: “Luck wasn’t on Klarisse de Guzman’s side when she faced off with ‘The Voice of the Philippines’ winner, Mitoy Yonting. I thought she would win, considering she had Sarah Geronimo as her mentor.
“Whatever happened to the Popsters’ text votes? I hope Klarisse’s star will continue to shine despite her loss. She had the most expressive voice—the other finalists were more concerned with style.”
