More screenings are in store for Mes de Guzman’s “Ang Kwento ni Mabuti”—best picture winner in the first CineFilipino Film Festival, along with Sigrid Andrea P. Bernardo’s “Ang Huling Chacha ni Anita.”

The additional “Mabuti” screenings are set at the Gateway and Ali Mall cinemas until Oct. 1.

Top-billed by Nora Aunor, “Mabuti” also won best screenplay and director and is the fest’s top-grosser, said Madonna Tarrayo, president of Unitel, one of the organizers.

“‘Mabuti’ sold out almost all its screenings; [the extension] will give more people the chance to catch it,” said Tarrayo.
