Suspicious wifey tails hubby abroad

/ 08:12 PM March 08, 2011

LIVID with jealousy, TV Host took an unplanned trip. She wasn’t supposed to travel with Handsome Husband, but she heard that Flirty Socialite had infiltrated the VIP entourage.

TH suspected that FS had been eyeing HH for a while. Territorial as she is, both at work and at play, TH dropped everything and tailed HH throughout the junket. Alas, she couldn’t stay too long away from Manila. She left HH unchaperoned … with FS who, she is sure, is a predator.

Takes one to know one.

The staff of the ad firm, however, has only but good words for CM3, who is punctual and courteous to everyone on the set.

Flying mallet

Cute Hunk was asked to kick off a prestigious organization’s program at a posh venue. The task was quite simple: Hit the gong. A trained monkey could’ve done it, mole said.

As luck would have it, when CH aimed for the gong, the mallet’s head flew. Insert stunned/nervous laughter here. CH could only mutter, “Oops!” Awkward!

Front act?

Will the real owner please stand up? Intrigue-mongers insist that Scandalous Personality’s new vacation house really belongs to Controversial Politico.

SP purportedly agreed to front for CP, to direct critics’ attention away from the politician’s unexplained wealth.

No rumor-monger

People still find the latest intrigue linking Married Actress to Controversial Celebrity and Popular Politico hard to believe.

But the scuttlebutt is persistent, echoing in TV studio hallways to the corridors of power. It was the hot subject during a recent show biz party, too.

Conspiracy theorists suspect that MA’s Disgruntled Relative may be behind the wild gossip. An insider denies this, insisting that DR would rather go soul-searching than rumor-mongering.

What floats his boat

What floats Enchong Dee’s boat?

Is it a blossoming romance with another celebrity? The young actor played coy as entertainment writers grilled him—during his recent launch as celebrity endorser of Jollibee’s Coke Float and Watermelon Sprite Float—about what keeps his love life and career lively. “I’m just so happy I was asked for this endorsement on my birthday last year. It was a very uplifting gift,” he said. Fans and mall-goers who went to the launch got to try out high-flying activities like a bungee trampoline, gravity-defying gadgets, and cutting-edge floating games on the Xbox Kinect.

Top of the talk shows

For those who missed last weekend’s TV gabfests (And why we are moved, if we are moved):

Vilma Santos on Luis Manzano’s butt exposure in his new movie with Anne Curtis, “Who’s That Girl”: “Hanggang dun na lang ’yun!” (Mother knows best.)

Enchong Dee, asked about the real score between him and Erich Gonzales: “Talagang magkaibigan lang kami ni Erich kasi sobrang importante sa ’min ng trabaho namin. So, mas uunahin namin ’yun.” (That is hardly ever a problem.)

Maja Salvador, asked if she felt awkward in her kissing scenes with “Minsan Lang Kita Iibigin” leading man Coco Martin: “In fairness … kapag may mga ganyang eksena, kinakausap niya ako. Sasabihin niya kung ano ’yung mga gagawin niya … ako rin naman, sinasabi ko kung ano ’yung mga gusto kong mangyari.” (Eyes wide shut.)

Maja Salvador, asked if she’s committed to someone right now: “Processing!” (Ayyy, parang meat product.)

(Uh, harsh.)

Phil Younghusband insists he has no plans to enter show biz: “My priority is football.” (Well, he tried once, not so long ago.)

James Yap on being linked to Isabel Oli: “Kaibigan ko siya. Wala akong nililigawan, wala akong girlfriend, wala akong dine-date. Alam nilang single ako so kahit na sinong babaeng madikit sa ’kin nagiging issue.” (A taste of show biz goes a long, long way.)

Gerald Anderson on former love team Kim Chiu: “She was my first love.” (Kiliiig.)

John Lapus on Marian Rivera’s name getting dragged into the mess involving him and Jobert Sucaldito: “Siyempre naawa ako kay Marian … wala namang kamalay-malay. Naging kaibigan ko lang.” (Network war pa rin ba ’yan?)

Toni Gonzaga on why she doesn’t have a Twitter account … (’Wag na ’to. Okey lang sa ’min.)
