Juana Change calls fellow artists to join Monday’s anti-‘pork’ rally

MANILA, Philippines—She is “one with a million” for change.

Actress and political activist Juana Change has announced she would join the people’s march Monday to demand the abolition of pork barrel funds.

This as Juana Change, or Mae Paner in real life, called on Filipino artists to “share their talents” by joining the “Million People March”, a rally on Monday that enraged netizens across the country initiated.

“To all my fellow artists, let us fill the people’s hearts with joy by sharing our talents on Monday in Luneta,” she said.

“Calling all singers, magicians, poets, musicians, directors, film makers, pole dancers, rappers, ballerinas, actors, kumakain ng apoy, composer, tight rope walker, sculptor, painter, performance artist, chef, etc etc,” said Paner. “Let us celebrate our creativity with a million!”

De La Salle Philippines  on Thursday also called on its students and faculty to “renew our commitment to good governance” by joining Monday’s rally in Luneta and similar protest actions in major areas of the country.
