Big boss sacks erratic hunk

MANILA, Philippines—TV reality hunk was consistently late for all his appointments with home studio. That is, if he showed up at all.

Finally, Big Boss got fed up and sacked him. RH can now add unemployment to his long list of problems.

A source seriously suspects that RH is into drugs. RH allegedly got depressed because fame proved elusive even though he had made trips to the casting couch.

JENNYLYN Mercado

Another erratic talent

Pretty Actress’ erratic behavior continues to baffle observers. She purportedly gave coworkers headaches on the set of a new project. For example, though she was billeted only minutes away, PA would arrive over an hour late. A diva in the making!

Apparently, PA gets her every whim, including luxury rides to and from the location, courtesy of Rich Boyfriend’s dad. Sosi.

Or maybe she’s just staying true to her onscreen characters. Playing prima donnas lately, she’s been dishing out scintillating performances.

Spoiled brat

Who knew that Hunky Balladeer is a prima donna in the making? He is said to demand close-ups and longer solos whenever he is grouped with peers.

And when he doesn’t get his way, HB throws a tantrum and refuses to show up in gigs—until his handlers, out of sheer exasperation, give in.

Impasse

Insiders deny it, but according to other sources, Controversial Personality has reached an impasse with Big Bosses.

For several weeks, BB was negotiating with CP over a troubled project. BB presented several reforms and suggestions to CP who, true to form, felt slighted and reportedly rejected them. BB merely wanted to impose stricter guidelines, but CP took offense.

Not bullied out

PROVIDENCE, Rhode Island—Emma Watson, the British actress who plays Hermione Granger in the “Harry Potter” film series, denied on Friday reports that she was bullied out of Brown University. Watson wrote on her website: “I have never been bullied in my life and certainly never at Brown.” AP

Beyonce backs out

NEW YORK—A video game maker says Beyonce didn’t play fair in a deal for a game structured around her.

Gate Five LLC has sued the Grammy Award-winning singer in New York, saying she made a lucrative agreement in June for a game called “Starpower: Beyonce,” then demanded a new deal and abruptly abandoned the project.

Her publicist and the company’s lawyer didn’t immediately respond to inquiries.

The lawsuit says Beyonce’s maneuvering drove a backer away and destroyed Gate Five’s business. Gate Five says it lost its nearly $7 million investment in the venture and more than $100 million in potential profits, and 70 people lost their jobs. AP

Fergie: Not true!

NEW YORK—Although Fergie has a list of things she wants to tackle during her long-awaited hiatus from the Black Eyed Peas, being a judge on Simon Cowell’s upcoming “X-Factor” show isn’t one of them.

There were recent reports that Cowell was considering the powerhouse singer for the Fox talent competition, which is due to debut in September. In a recent interview, Fergie eliminated herself from contention.

“It’s a very committed job that you have to put your time into and I don’t think I’m gonna have that much time, but I love Simon,” she said. AP

Kastely says 20 students are chosen from about 400 applicants each year. AP

Top of the Talk Shows

For those who missed last weekend’s TV gabfests (and why we are moved, if we are moved):

Kylie Padilla on rumored boyfriend Aljur Abrenica: “We like each other’s company. He is my best friend.” (Bawal pa ba aminin?)

Jennyln Mercado on her breakup with Dennis Trillo (via text message): “Sa ngayon po … nag-jujitsu po ako for self-defense.” (Ayyy, intriguing.)

Sunshine Dizon on giving birth to baby Doreen Isabel: “Nung narinig ko ’yung iyak niya, tulo na nang tulo luha ko … sobrang overjoyed.” (It gets less joyous, for better or worse.)

Baron Geisler, asked about his plans after rehab: “My plan is to stay sober, of course … Now I feel … I’m in a safe place … accountable only to God. I’ve accepted my mistakes and forgiven myself.” (We know at least two people who should also forgive Baron.)

Pops Fernandez on being romantically linked with Sen. Chiz Escudero: “I’ve never met him, so how can I be dating him?” (Oo nga naman.)

Anne Curtis on being the first Filipino celebrity to have over one million Twitter followers: “I’m so happy! Thank you to everyone who chose to follow me, in spite of the nonsense and random things I put on my Twitter account!” (That doesn’t speak well of them, does it?)

Angel Locsin, asked about her Hong Kong trip with Phil Younghusband: “Sorry talaga! Gusto kong magkwento pero parang mas proper kung ’di na muna ako magsalita!” (No need.)

Judy Ann Santos on Charlene Gonzalez’s ability to maintain her figure: “Naiinis ako sa taong ’yan! Nanganak ng kambal tapos parang walang nangyari. Ako, isa lang ang anak na lumabas sa ’kin pero parang ang daming nangyari! Hindi mo ba pwedeng ibigay sa ’kin ’yang powers na ’yan, Charlene?” (Kanya-kanyang kayod ’yan e.)
