MANILA, Philippines – Screaming fan girls unite – Korean superstar Lee Min Ho, of Boys Over Flowers and City Hunter fame, is back in town to serenade and dance his way back to Filipino fans’ hearts in a way he has never done before.
In a press conference Friday night, the Korean actor-turned record artist said he was excited to show his Filipino fans “a different Lee Min Ho” at the SM Mall of Asia Arena on Saturday.
Although he admits his fans have told him he was not very good at dancing, Lee hinted that he might show his Filipino fans a little dance when they come see his show.
It was the Bench global ambassador’s second time to visiting the Philippines and this time he came to promote his first-ever concert tour “My Everything – World Tour 2013.”
Music was one of the Korean celebrity’s ways of deepening his communication with his fans and with his first album, Lee said he was marking his seventh year in show business.
“The title My Everything refers to my fans. This album is my gift to my fans,” he said.
Unlike with acting on television, for which he has been much sought after all over the world, Lee said that singing to his fans gave him “extraordinary happiness.”
“With acting, my fans reaction is delayed. When I perform, the response is immediate. It really is something else,” he said.
The Philippines is just one of his stops for his 10-city concert tour.
Lee was also in Manila in time for the unveiling of Bench Tower at Bonifacio Global City.
The actor said he was excited to be back to share his music with Filipino fans he considered “passionate yet very innocent and feminine.”
Lee will also hold shows in Tokyo, Seoul, Bangkok, Beijing, Kuala Lumpur, Shanghai, Osaka, Hong Kong and the United States.
Tickets to the Manila-leg of Lee Min Ho’s “My Everything –World Tour 2013” are available at all SM Tickets outlets.
