“Project Runway Philippines” is returning after a two-year respite. This year, there will be 15 finalists who will be vying for the top prize of P500,000, including a 10-page spread of the winner’s designs in Mega Magazine, start-up business package of  10 units of sewing machines, a short-term fashion design course at a top European fashion school, a four-year fashion program at the Asian Institute of Fashion  and a two-month apprenticeship with the institute’s top designers. More important, winning can help him launch a profitable career in the competitive world of fashion design.

As always, the number of finalists will be whittled down as they go through a weekly competition that challenges their creativity. The decision on who gets eliminated and who will be the last man standing  will fall on the laps of Rajo Laurel, Apples Aberin and a guest judge. The resident mentor is Jojie Lloren. The show has a new host, top model and TV actress, Tweetie de Leon.

To qualify you have to be a Filipino and at least 21 years old. Bring your birth certificate, portfolio and three of your best completed designs to Pryce Plaza  Hotel, Carmen Hill, Cagayan de Oro City  (Aug. 20-21); Marco Polo Hotel, Lahug, Cebu (Aug. 27-28); Hotel Supreme, Magsaysay Avenue, Baguio City (Sept. 3-4); Jungle Gym, Kamagong St., Makati City (Sept. 6-7).
