Stars share their own fairy tales

AFTER the Wedding Royale, will Prince William and Kate Middleton remain loyal to each other? May they not do a Prince Charles and Lady Di, who loved happily never after.

The union of Wills and Kate is the stuff that fairy tales are made of. Since it put us all in a dreamy state, I asked some celebs about a fairy tale-like day they’ve had. Apres tout, not only princes and princesses deserve a happy ending. Mine would be the summer I lived and studied in Paris. That magical chapter of my life will forever stand out in my memory.

We all have our own fairy tales to tell. May life and love’s twists and turns keep us bewitched, enchanted and bewildered, especially in this month of flowers. May magic and wonder be in full bloom in your hearts and may everything be coming up roses in your life!

MARCO ALCARAZ: “It was the first time I kissed Lara who’s now my fiancée. I felt like the luckiest ‘commoner’ for being able to kiss a ‘queen.’”

PRECIOUS LARA QUIGAMAN: “When I was crowned Miss International, I felt like a queen and was treated like one. Everyone’s attention was on me. It was a dream come true.”

BELA PADILLA: “It’s like a fairy tale every time I ride a plane. It’s always quite a surreal experience for me. I especially love the takeoff. The roar of the engine makes me feel like I’m going to do something really brave. I relish looking down at a place that’s so familiar yet seems so small. That makes me feel larger than myself.”

JON AVILA: “That would be when I won Century Tuna Superbods, considering I was fat before. I worked and prayed so hard. It’s definitely a success story that’s like a fairy tale.”

MR. FU: “It was like a fairy tale when my college crush went to my place and brought sapin-sapin. We talked for hours. I felt like a princess being pursued by her Prince Charming. Unfortunately, it wasn’t a happy ending. Mangungutang lang pala ang prinsipe. Gusto kong isampal ang sapin-sapin sa kanya. Sorry he didn’t get what he wanted. May ganon?”

GLORIA DIAZ: “I guess when I had my kids Bel and Ava. Both seemed unreal. I felt they belonged to me and only me. When Raf came, he was like my personal belonging with no expectations.”
GINGER CONEJERO: “My fairy tale day was this unexpected trip to the beach. Beautiful weather for swimming in the ocean and getting a tan! It was a gorgeous place topped off with wonderful company and great conversation. Why was it a fairy tale? I was swept off my feet!”

TINTIN BERSOLA: “Fairy tale moment? Of course, when I had my Kate moment on Dec. 8, 2003, when I walked down the red carpeted aisle in my French lace wedding gown and exchanged ‘I do’s’ with my prince—and now king of my life—Julius Babao!”

AMY PEREZ: “My fairy tale day is yet to come. It’s that day when Carlo and I can finally get married.”

HAYDEN KHO: “Fairy tale day? That was the day Vicki turned the beast in me into a prince with love and a magical kiss.”
