Wolfgang frontman Basti Artadi disclosed that the band had reached out several times to record labels Ivory Music and Vicor Music for “fairer adjustment” on their 30-year-old contract, but that they “never heard back in the affirmative.”

Artadi earlier revealed that Wolfgang does not support the upcoming release of their self-titled album vinyl under the record labels, as the band will only get a meager P2.40 royalty per P1,900-worth record.

Adding to his statement that made headlines, Artadi said in the comments section of his Instagram post, “I just want to thank everyone for the attention this is getting and for all the positive responses, I cannot say how appreciative I am.”

The musician then made clarifications on the matter, also saying that they had already attempted to reach out to the record labels prior to making a public statement.

“To those wondering, our royalty rate is not a percentage, it is .30 cents per song per album sold—we have eight songs on that record. This is a 30-year-old contract we had with Ivory,” he said.

“Despite many attempts to reach out to them with offers to work together on this release, on the condition of a fairer adjustment to our contract, I never heard back in the affirmative,” he lamented.
