Taking her chic sense of style on a global scale, Marian Rivera will make her Milan Fashion Week debut as an ambassadress for a high-end Italian cosmetics brand.

Rivera’s Fashion Week debut was confirmed by local fashion magazine Preview on Tuesday, Sept. 17, where the actress will be the Philippines’ representative of the Milan-based makeup and skincare brand Kiko Milano.

The “Balota” star said she’s grateful to be selected as the country’s representative, saying she has always been a fan of its products, which she has been endorsing on her social media apps.

“Always grateful ako talaga… Preparations? Wala! Excited lang talaga kami ng glam team ko. Mage-enjoy lang kami (I’m very grateful. Preparations? None! My glam team and I are very excited. We’ll enjoy our experience),” she was quoted as saying.

Aside from Rivera’s glam team, she is accompanied by her husband, actor-host Dingdong Dantes. She, however, has yet to share glimpses of her trip to Milan on social media.

The date and time of the cosmetics brand’s show has yet to be revealed as well.

The celebrity couple was also the guests of honor at an intimate dinner hosted by Kiko Milano CEO Simone Dominici, as seen on the Facebook page of Philippine Consulate General Elmer Cato.

“Last Monday, we got to welcome celebrity couple Marian Rivera and Dingdong Dantes who are visiting Milan for the first time… One of the top Filipino endorsers, Marian has contributed to the successful market penetration of Kiko Milano, which now has more than 20 stores in the Philippines with several more scheduled to be opened,” he said of Rivera.

The consul general also shared that the dinner was a celebration of Rivera and Dantes’ success with their hit film “Rewind” and their philanthropic work.

“We also thanked the couple for their philanthropic work back home, especially the assistance they have been extending to women and children with disabilities. We also had a very interesting conversation on the West Philippine Sea with Dingdong, who is also a reserve officer of the Armed Forces of the Philippines,” he said.

Rivera joins the roster of Filipino celebrities who are establishing themselves as fashion personalities including Heart Evangelista, Pia Wurtzbach, Anne Curtis, and Sofia Andres, to name a few.

The actress was among the Best Actress winners of the Cinemalaya 2024 festival for her performance in the film “Balota.” The political-centered movie will hit theaters on October 16.
