AJ Raval affirmed she’s “confident” her boyfriend Aljur Abrenica will not cheat on her, and if ever he does, she said she will only have “herself to blame.”

In an interview, former news anchor Julius Babao asked Raval what she would do or feel if ever she found out that Abrenica had cheated in their relationship.

(Maybe if it comes to that point, maybe I will blame myself. If I had been a good partner, did I become a nagger, did I support him when he was down?)

Raval then asserted that she’s certain Abrenica will not cheat on her. “Pero ngayon, confident ako na hindi niya gagawin sakin yun, kasi maganda yung dynamics namin ngayon,” she said. (But now, I’m confident that he won’t do that to me, because our dynamics are good now.)

The same year, Raval and Abrenica co-starred in the film “Sugapa” and sparked dating rumors when they were spotted together on an apparent date in October of that year.

In February of this year, Raval and Abrenica confirmed their relationship, but the former belied reports that she was a third party in the breakup of Abrenica and Padilla.

Padilla also cleared Raval’s name, saying she and Abrenica had been separated as early as April 2021.

Meanwhile, AJ’s father, Jeric Raval, who has long admitted that he cheated on his wife multiple times after fathering many children from different women, shared that he’s certain that Abrenica is not the cheater type.

“Kaya ko naman nagustuhan yung tao na yun dahil, ako kasi ang tinitignan ko sa lalaki para sa anak ko, yung pagiging responsable. Kasi maraming lalake ang naging babaero na inabandona na ‘yung pamilya. Meron naman akong mga kakilala na babaero rin, pero napakabait,” he explained.

(That’s why I liked that person because the quality I look for in a guy for my daughter is being responsible. Because many men who are playboys have been abandoned their families. But I know men who are womanizer but they are very kind.)

When asked what advice he would give his daughter, Jeric underscored, “Huwag mong hayaang manalo ‘yung kerida, parang ganun. [Kasi] parang pinamigay mo na.” (Don’t let the mistress win. Because it’s like you already gave [your partner] away.
