South Korean actor Lee Dong-wook, who is best known for his smoldering lead roles in “My Girl” and “Goblin,” caught the attention of K-drama fans after saying he is “too lazy” to date.

In a guest appearance on the YouTube series “Pinggyego” on Tuesday, August 13, Lee briefly spoke about his dating life when he was teased by one of the hosts, Ji Suk-jin, after the actor handed him a tissue to wipe his mouth with after eating.

“Wow, you must’ve been this considerate to your girlfriend,” Ji said in response to Lee’s kind gesture.

Lee then said he used to be attentive toward his exes, but that dating has become “too much of a hassle” for him. The actor, however, didn’t disclose which ex-girlfriend he was referring to in the interview.

“I used to do things like these to the people I dated all the time. But I can’t even remember the last time I did this for a girl,” he said. “I don’t think I can date anymore now. It’s too much of a hassle.”

Clarifying his earlier remark, Lee pointed out that he’s open to dating but feels “too lazy” to get into a relationship.

“What I mean was that I want to date someone but I don’t want to. I’m too lazy for it, if you get what I mean. When you’re in a relationship with someone, you need to get close, and the idea of putting in all that effort to get closer makes me feel so exhausted,” he said.

Lee, who is known for being tightlipped about his romantic affairs, was previously in a brief romance with singer-actress Bae Suzy. Their relationship was confirmed in March 2018, only to break up four months later.

Among the actor’s most notable work include the K-dramas “My Girl,” “Bad and Crazy,” “Tale of the Nine-Tailed,” “Touch Your Heart,” and “Goblin,” to name a few.
