Lily Monteverde, fondly known as Mother Lily, was brought to her final resting place at the The Heritage Park in Taguig City on Saturday, Aug. 10.

Loved ones and friends in show business including Maricel Soriano and Judy Ann Santos attended the burial, as seen in the photos shared by producer-showbiz columnist Noel Ferrer on Facebook.

Mother Lily passed away on Aug. 4, weeks before her 86th birthday. Her demise came just a week after the passing of her husband, Leonardo “Father Remy” Monteverde, on July 29.

During her five-day wake, celebrities including Vilma Santos, Tirso Cruz III, Dina Bonnevie, Snooky Serna, Aga Muhlach, Janice de Belen, Marian Rivera and Dingdong Dantes visited and paid tribute to the Regal Entertainment matriarch and star-maker.

Born Lily Yu Chu, Mother Lily founded the film and television company Regal Entertainment, which produced several classics including “Manila by Night,” “Sister Stella L,” “Scorpio Nights,” “Relasyon” and “Broken Marriage,” as well as famous movie franchises “Mano Po” and “Shake, Rattle and Roll.”

Rising along these hit films were her roster of “Regal Babies” which include Soriano, Bonnevie, Serna, de Belen, Gina Alajar, Lorna Tolentino, Gabby Concepcion, Alma Moreno and Manilyn Reynes.

Mother Lily is survived by his children Winnie, Roselle, Meme, Dondon and Goldwyn.
