Months after suffering from a hemorrhagic stroke, seasoned broadcast journalist Arnold Clavio is grateful to God that he’s back at work with a reinvigorated spirit, although treatment for his condition is ongoing.

Clavio is elated to resume his broadcasting duties, as shared on Instagram on Monday, Aug. 5, saying he has returned to the morning show “Unang Hirit” and GMA’s flagship radio station DZBB.

The broadcast journalist marked his return on “Unang Hirit” last Aug. 5 and was welcomed back by his fellow hosts and colleagues.

“Namiss ko rin kayo… may problema pa tayo sa kanan. Nasa 80 or 90% pa lang so tuloy-tuloy ang aking rehabilitation. Wala pang balanse. May takot pa kapag tatayo ka nang matagal. Baka bumagsak,” said Clavio.

(I missed you all. I still have problem on the right side of my body. I’m just 80 or 90% cured, so my rehabilitation is still ongoing. I can’t balance myself properly yet. I’m still scared to stand up for a long time. I might fall.)

Clavio underwent a health scare after suffering from a hemorrhagic stroke due to “slight bleeding” on the left side of his brain in June. He has since been undergoing physical and occupational therapy to regain his strength and day-to-day movements.
