Nothing compares to the joy of being a father, especially when one is blessed with a child for the first time. The bliss extends to Father’s Day on June 16, but this time, as full-fledged dads. This is true for many celebrities as well, such as Albie Casiño and Zanjoe Marudo.
To mark Father’s Day, we have prepared a list of some of our favorite celebrities who have become first-time dads this year.
Albie Casiño
Shortly after the hit series “Can’t Buy Me Love” aired its final episode, entertainment insider Ogie Diaz reported last May that Albie Casiño went to the US after his non-showbiz girlfriend Michelina gave birth to their first child.
Casiño confirmed the reports weeks later, as he shared glimpses of himself welcoming his firstborn son Roman Andrew on social media. “I wouldn’t have it any other way. I finally got to meet my son. Hello, Roman Andrew. The world is yours, little man,” he wrote in one of his Instagram posts.

The actor seemed to be taking in fatherhood just fine, with him showing a peek at his day-to-day activities as a doting dad to his son.
Zanjoe Marudo
Zanjoe Marudo and Ria Atayde put the pregnancy speculations to rest, as the actress announced that they’re expecting their first child on Father’s Day. The confirmation comes months after they were hounded by rumors of the actress’ pregnancy, although she said that she didn’t “owe an announcement to anyone.”

It remains unclear when the couple will welcome their first child and how they found out they were expecting.
Rambo Nuñez
The 31st of May was a special day for entrepreneur Rambo Nuñez as his wife, actress Maja Salvador, welcomed their baby girl named Maria. Since then, the couple have been reeling in parental bliss as they shared glimpses of their adjustment as parents on social media.

Nuñez took to his Instagram page on Sunday, June 16, to share his initial thoughts as a first-time dad. “I know fatherhood won’t be easy, I never had one… but I have everyone I need behind me on this photo, especially my mom who stood as my father,” he wrote.
Sef Cadayona
Sef Cadayona welcomed his first child with his non-showbiz fiancée, Nelan Vivero, back in March. Their baby girl, named Anya Herminia, seems to be the bundle of joy for their little family as she constantly appears on the actor’s Instagram account.

Ninong Ry
Internet personality Ninong Ry, whose real name is Ryan Morales Reyes, welcomed his first child with non-showbiz girlfriend Trina Legaspi last May, although they kept their lips sealed on how they found out about Legaspi’s pregnancy.

In a hospital photo showing the smiling Reyes back in May, he expressed his excitement on Instagram, saying, “Siya ang nag dala pero ako ang kamukha! Welcome sa mundong ito, Rue! Daddy Ry era starts now!”
Benedict Cua
Filipino-Chinese internet personality Benedict Cua broke the internet last May after he made a sudden announcement that he’s a father to a baby boy named Aleck. Without disclosing any details about the mother of his child, he described his child as the “love of [his] life.”

Robert Pattinson
The romantic relationship of Robert Pattinson and fiancée Suki Waterhouse became stronger than ever, as the couple welcomed their child in early 2024. Apart from Waterhouse announcing her pregnancy in November 2023, the couple kept details of their family of three under wraps.

Despite this, Pattinson and Waterhouse were seen together with their baby on multiple occasions, although they made sure to cover their baby’s face.
Lee Seung-gi
Lee Seung-gi is another first-time dad as he welcomed his first child with fellow actress Lee Da-in back in February. Like many celebrity couples, Lee opted to keep details about their firstborn private.

“We are delivering the happy news that the Lee Seung-gi and Lee Da-in couple gave birth to a daughter on the afternoon of Feb. 5,” Lee’s management Human Made said in a statement. “Both the mother and child are in good health, and Lee Seung-gi conveyed the news that he is grateful and happy that a precious life was born safely,” it added.
Adam Devine
“Pitch Perfect” star Adam Devine, who starred as the scene-stealing Bumper Allen, was a happy dad as he welcomed his son Beau Devine with fellow actress Chloe Bridges last March.
