Kim Rodriguez belied cheating allegations with Marc Pingris, Danica Sotto’s husband, flatly saying these were not true.
In the latest episode of Rodriguez’s talent manager Ogie Diaz’s vlog “Showbiz Update,” Rodriguez said, “Tito, hindi po ‘yan totoo, (Tito, that’s not true),” after Diaz asked the actress about the cheating rumors.
Rodriguez first clarified the pictures of her and the basketball player being in the same gas station posing with a girl, who’s a fan, saying that they were not together at the time.
“Hindi po kami magkasama niyan. Kahit itanong niyo po sa girl na yan kung magkasama kami ni Marc Pingris kung pareho niya kaming nakita na same time, I’m sure alam niya ang totoo,” Diaz quoted Rodriguez as saying.
(We are not together in that [picture]. Even if you ask that girl whether Marc Pingris and I were together, if she saw us both at the same time, I’m sure she knows the truth.)
The “Strawberry Lane” actress then explained the second picture that went the rounds online, where she and Pingris had the same background, which is the Opera House in Australia. She affirmed that “almost everyone who went into that country had a picture in that tourist spot.”
“Ang sabi naman sa akin ni Kim, meron siyang dalawang kaibigan na kasama nung nagbakasyon sila sa Australia. Sabi sa akin ni Kim, anong pakialam ko kung may picture doon si Marc Pingris sa Opera House, ako din may picture, lahat naman ng nagpupunta ng Sydney dapat may picture ka daw sa Opera House kaya may picture ako,” shared Diaz.
(Kim told me that she had two friends with her when they vacationed in Australia. Kim told me, “What do I care if Marc Pingris has a picture in the Opera House? I also have a picture; they say, everyone who goes to Sydney should have a picture at the Opera House, so I have a picture.”)
Prior to this, Pingris released a statement debunking the rumors, saying that there was “nothing romantically happening between him and Rodriguez,” even as he also asked for respect for his wife and children.
