American television’s “Dog Whisperer,” Cesar Millan, wowed a crowd of dog lovers and his fans in a packed show Tuesday night at the Eastwood Central Plaza. At the start of his presentation, he made it clear that, as a pack leader, he was going to help the audience members understand their dogs’ needs. “I train humans and not the dogs!” He appeared on stage wearing a blue Pilipinas jersey, which thrilled the spectators.

Sandy Talag was getting dressed for school when she first heard the good news. Eunice de Asis, local producer of Jacco Groen’s “Lilet Never Happened,” called up to congratulate her one fine day. “I said, ‘thank you,’ thinking all the while that it was for the award (audience prize) ‘Lilet’ had won earlier in the Buster film fest in Denmark,” Sandy recalled. “But Tita Eunice said the trophy was for me.”
