Casually, indie filmmaker Kip Oebanda related that he was born in prison. “My mom Cecilia was pregnant with me when she was imprisoned, with my father Ricardo, in the early 1980s,” he recalled. “My sister Malaya was also born while they were detained in Camp Delgado, in Iloilo City.”

Rockers embrace their inner retro crooners

EUNICE Jorge and Kean Cipriano’s pop-rock sensibilities still surface  in their first collaboration.

For their first collaborative album, “Happy Together,” Kean Cipriano of Callalily and Eunice Jorge of Gracenote ditched their rocker personas to do some straightforward, feel-good renditions of classics from the 1960s and 1970s, which they hope will appeal to music lovers of all ages.
