There is a third Filipino film that will premiere in Cannes next month. Apart from Lav Diaz’s “Norte, Hangganan ng Kasaysayan” and Adolfo Alix Jr.’s “Death March” in the Un Certain Regard section, Erik Matti’s “On the Job” was selected to be part of the Directors’ Fortnight, “a noncompetitive, independently programmed section that is held parallel” to the main competition of Cannes.
