Burned by flop, enterprising celeb sells house

/ 06:25 PM August 16, 2011

It’s being whispered about in the four corners of Show Town: Enterprising Celebrity was burned by a bum deal. A high-profile project he had bankrolled failed to break even.

As a result, EC had to sell a house built with blood, sweat and tears. A mole says EC paid Foreign Talent an arm and a leg (to the tune of $1.5 million) for the failed project.

Senior Star’s last dance

Seasoned Star wanted to know what goes on inside a gay bar. Accompanied by a friend, SS went to a sleazy night spot to gawk at gyrating macho men.

FEATURED STORIES

SS even “tabled” with a handsome stud, who thought he would get a generous tip!

Unfortunately, SS didn’t bring enough cash. Poor hunk didn’t get a single peso for entertaining SS the whole night.

For the love

Pretty Star has yet to confirm her affair with Handsome Rocker but there have been numerous sightings of them together.

In a local mall, HR was spotted carrying PS’ shopping bags—plural ha! How sweet.

Plus, HR allegedly flew abroad three times (not just once ha!) to visit PS, who had assignments there. How sweeter.

For love or money?

Perhaps the rumor is true after all. Hunky Actor was spotted in a coffee shop in front of a big venue. Was it just coincidence that Gay Celebrity had a gig in the big venue that night? Was HA waiting for GC to finish work so they could go on a date later? Or did HA just need money? Again?

Tardiness club

Remember Sexy Actress who didn’t show up for a huge event? Turned out Sweet Star, from the same company as SA, was two hours late for another major gathering.

On the same day as the affair, SS allegedly worked on the set of a show until early morning and was booked for dubbing on the same day.

The culprits are studios that work stars to the bone. Talent handlers should respect the time of the people they invite to events involving over-booked celebs.

Top of the Talk Shows:

For those who missed last weekend’s TV gabfests (And why we are moved, if we are moved):

Maxene Magalona on being sexy: “This may sound like a cheesy answer, but being sexy doesn’t mean baring skin all the time. For me it’s more about carrying yourself well.” (Actually, it makes some sense.)

Carmina Villaroel, asked if she’d allow her twins Mavy and Cassy to enter show biz: “Commercials pwede, pero ’yung pag-aartista, maghintay na lang muna sila! ’Yung daughter ko mukhang mag-aartista, kasi lagi niyang sinasabi, ‘Mom, I want to be like you when I grow up!’” (Doing as mom does, not as mom says.)

Rachelle Ann Go on rumors that she and Cesar Montano were spotted kissing: “Hindi po totoo ’yun. Hindi ko po alam kung saan nanggagaling ’yan. Hindi ko rin alam kung ano mararamdamdan ko, kung matatawa na lang po ako or maiinis.” (Both reactions are justifiable.)

Cesar Montano on patching things up with son Diego Loyzaga: “Importante kami pa rin nagkakaintindihan, we know each other, we trust each other, and we love each other.” (Ang tagal, ha?)

Dennis Trillo, asked if he’s ready to work with ex, Jennylyn Mercado: “Ready akong makita siya, pero makatrabaho, ’di ko pa alam kasi marami akong ginagawa ngayon … Naka-move on na ako, matagal na. Lahat ng nangyari dati, kinalimutan ko na… ’Di na rin makakatulong kung magngingitngit pa ako, o magtatago sa puso ng galit.” (Still sounds like a grudge.)

Gerald Anderson, asked if he’s looking for a new relationship: “’Di po ako naghahanap. Kapag nandyan, nandyan!” (Hmm.!)

Jolina Magdangal on her coming wedding: “Wala pang definite date. We’re aiming sana this year. Pero ang pinaka-goal namin, eh huwag magmadali at huwag ma-stress!” (This one has always been sensible.)

Rochelle Pangilinan, asked what she liked most about boyfriend Arthur Solinap: “Extreme ’to, eh. Extreme magalit, extreme naman maglambing!” (Parang extreme sports.)

Erich Gonzales on onscreen sweetheart Enchong Dee: “Sweet naman talaga siya and napakamaalaga niya … Hindi niya na kailangang magpa-cute, kasi cute na ’yun!” (How cute naman.)

Enchong Dee, asked what has changed about Erich Gonzales over the years: “Parang every time na nakakasama ko siya, parang she’s becoming more wife material!” (Ah, more than cute na ’yan.)

Vilma Santos on people trying to re-ignite her rivalry with Nora Aunor: “Ang posisyon ko kasi damned if you do, damned if you don’t. Meron akong magandang sabihin para sa kumare ko, sasabihin nila ang plastik ko. Meron akong ’di magandang sasabihin, masama naman ang ugali ko… I’m mature enough para ’di na sumakay pa [sa issue]… I’m so happy that Nora is back in the movie industry… let’s all welcome her back.” (Spoken like a battle-scarred veteran…)

Vilma Santos, asked if she’s willing to do a movie with Nora Aunor: “Definitely, if it will make the industry healthy and happy again, why not? May ilan naman kaming pelikulang nagawa before, so hindi issue sa ’min ’yun.” (… but a veteran made wiser by the battles.)

Ryan Agoncillo, asked if he ever cheated in a relationship: “Siyempre hindi sasabihin ko, ’di ba? Siyempre sisikapin nating hindi, ’di ba?” (Is that a yes?)

Kim Chiu, asked what her breakup with Gerald Anderson taught her: “I learned to love myself more. I learned to be strong. And kung hindi ka naman nagmahal, hindi ka naman masasaktan, eh. So thankful ako na naramdaman ko ’yun. At wala akong sama ng loob o galit sa kahit na sino.” (Good answer.)

Carmina Villaroel, asked about BB Gandanghari’s budding modeling career in the US: “Ay, eh di good for her… him, her? Basta kung ano man ang ginagawa niya, basta maligaya siya nang bonggang-bongga at wala naman siyang sinasagasaang ibang tao, go!” (Go, BB!)

Rich Asuncion, asked if Ervic Vijandre is her boyfriend: “Nagde-date kami, pero never pa naman niya sinabi sa ’king gusto niya akong maging girlfriend… Ang pangit na ako mag-a-assume… pero inaamin ko naman din talaga na gusto ko siya at may espesyal ako na pagtingin sa kanya.” (Go, girl!)
