PH wins 4 awards in Asean film fest



COCO Martin in “Santo Niña”

The Philippines won four honors at the first Asean International Film Festival and Awards (Aiffa) held at Borneo Convention Center in Kuching, Malaysia, on Saturday night.

Alessandra de Rossi won best actress and Anita Linda, best supporting actress, for “Sta. Niña.” An entry in last year’s Cinemalaya, Emmanuel Quindo Palo’s “Sta. Niña” won best film-drama. Child star Bugoy Cariño won best supporting actor for Ian Loreños’ “Alagwa.”
