Hosts refuse to do explosive interview

JOHN Prats wants to pursue case against colleague.

The dust has settled, so the truth can be told. In spite of extreme pressure from the execs, Popular Host 1 balked at the opportunity to do a bombshell interview with Controversial Celebrity.

A well-placed source told Rushes that PH1 refused to have anything to do with CC— especially since they didn’t see eye to eye on several issues.

The bosses approached Popular Host 2, who also declined. Seems PH2 is still hurting over a case of shabby treatment by CC’s camp.

That’s how Popular Host 3 landed the “plum” (insert sarcasm here) assignment. PH3 wasn’t so keen on it, either, and was just forced to comply.

All sorts of crazy

ASPIRING Darna Cristine Reyes gets a lot of flak in cyberspace.

Glamorous Actress is not well-liked by peers because she can be quite cuckoo.

GA wasn’t only tardy and bossy, she would often change the script depending on her shifting moods.

In one scene, GA ad-libbed and threw a clump of dirt at Stunned Costar, giving new meaning to “mudslinging.”

In another scene, GA improvised and hurled a bunch of flowers at SC. The flowers may have been fragrant, but it still hurt SC.

Idealistic Personality thought High-Profile Relative would support a political endeavor.

But HR hemmed and hawed, seeming uninterested in IP’s cause. Perhaps it’s because stingy HR is saving up for other more important projects—perhaps a  political career?

In the name of love

Picked up from the Inquirer tabloid Bandera.

IN SPITE of the scandals, Bea Binene is envied by other Kapuso tween stars.

He’s no spring chicken, but Handsome Hunk is among the most “in demand” (and most expensive) rent boys in the gay circuit.

And why is HH still languishing in the flesh trade, when he belongs to a moneyed clan? Turns out, he gives all the money he makes to his Cute Lover, a fast-rising model-actor and a mainstay on a TV show.

His & hers makeup

Heard on the Radyo Inquirer program “Kliq Showbiz” (dzIQ 990 AM, Monday to Friday, 3 to 5 p.m.).

Pretty Starlet was peeved because Gorgeous Boyfriend kept borrowing her lip gloss. On another occasion, he also borrowed her mascara!

Incensed, PS gifted GB with his own eye makeup set. Hopefully, GB got the message.

Easter miracle Or is it the “Nightmare Before Easter”?

Comedienne Ai-Ai de las Alas could be “preggers,” screamed tab headlines.

Caught unawares, her handlers were quite understandably, spooked.

A source close to the fortysomething comic said everything was still up in the air and Ai-Ai would know for sure next week. Still, her timing is impeccable. Tanging ina talaga?

Warwick bankrupt

NEWARK—Singer Dionne Warwick owes nearly $10 million in back taxes and has filed for bankruptcy.

In a petition filed this month in New Jersey, Warwick lists liabilities that include nearly $7 million owed to the Internal Revenue Service for the years 1991 to 1999 and more than $3 million in business taxes owed to the state of California.

The singer of classics such as “Walk on By,” “I Say a Little Prayer” and “Do You Know the Way to San Jose” also lists about $21,000 in monthly income and about the same amount in monthly expenses. AP

Top of the Bandera

The top show biz news in the Inquirer tabloid Bandera (why we are moved if we are moved.)

(Ineeeeng, chill out ka muna. Stay away from that worthless dyowa.)

(For someone who’s not an actor, he’s quite believable on-cam.)

(Just shut it, you two.)

(We have a theory…)

(That’s good to know. Sometimes there’s a thin line between interfering and enabling.)

(Perhaps he was daydreaming of Disneyland in Paris.)

(Hell hath no fury…)

(Like Heart and Kris, John’s birthday is Feb. 14. Just saying…)

Sweet na sweet sa isa’t isa nang magkita sa b-day party; Karylle nai-in love na kay Christian Bautista? (Do not judge them; they’re not books.)

(The grass is always greener elsewhere… kahit magulo.)

(Diff’rent strokes.)

Sarah dapat tularan ang katapangan ni Heart. (Ain’t gonna happen, no.)

Who wants to have anything to do with Kris Aquino? She is just trash and garbage. Her mother is rolling in her grave.
