MANILA, Philippines – Actress Gretchen Barretto will finally star in a Cinemalaya film – Christopher Ad. Castillo’s “The Diplomat Hotel,” Castillo himself announced the news on his Facebook page.

Barretto will play a “disgraced reporter” in the suspense-thriller about a “haunted hotel where evil resides.”

Barretto is the longtime partner of main Cinemalaya benefactor, businessman Tonyboy Cojuangco.

The Cinemalaya entry will be co-produced by Alemberg Ang and Joji Alonso.
