PH animated short wins three times abroad


Filipino filmmaker Joey Agbayani’s “The Ghostwriter” won best animated short at the Puerto Rico International Film Festival held on Vieques Island last December.

It also won the Diamond Award at the California Film Awards in San Diego and best international short at the Kidz Filmz Festival in New Jersey earlier.

Comic Jon Santos provided the voice in the film, which centers on a ghost who must retrieve his masterpiece from a thieving vampire.

The Puerto Rico fest is described as a “three-day celebration of the best in local and international cinema.” Bayani San Diego Jr.
