Jun Robles Lana’s “Bwakaw” will be screened in two festivals in Europe. First stop is the Goteborg film fest, to be held in Sweden from Jan. 25 to Feb. 4. Then, the Cinemalaya winner, which top-bills Eddie Garcia, will also be shown at the 19th Vesoul International Film Festival of Asian Cinema, set in France from Feb. 5 to 12.
Goteborg is known as one of the leading festivals in Scandinavia, while Vesoul focuses on Asian movies. Lana hopes to attend the Vesoul fest. “I learn a lot by attending festivals.”—Bayani San Diego Jr.
