The Philippines has scored two nominations at the 7th Asian Film Awards, to be held in Hong Kong on March 18: Nora Aunor got the nod for best actress (“Thy Womb”) and Eddie Garcia for best actor (“Bwakaw”).

Aunor previously won best actress at the Asia Pacific Screen Awards in Brisbane, Australia, while Garcia won best actor at the Asia Pacific Film Festival in Macau for the same roles. Bayani San Diego Jr.

    What a pure talent! Nora being inactive for 8 years, comes back and gets international recognitions left and right……it needed eight long years in order for Philippines to have another legitimate representation of a world-class artist.   Congrats Superstar Nora Aunor and Eddie Garcia!!!!

    Definitely the best performers of 2012 are nora & eddie. Their past collaboration are Atsay (eddie as director, guy as lead actress), Tinik sa Dibdib & Bakit may Kahapon Pa? , we hope eddie directs Nora again
