SARAH Lahbati

I don’t think GMA 7 is so stupid to release Sarah without getting anything in return…

Cno ba c sarah? Artista ba sya? We have law on obligations and contract under the civil code. Read that before you rant on twitter!

It is not as simple as creating a ruckus to release one from a contractual obligation, especially if it involves a big amount of investment. Ms LaBate might as well sit out the rest of her contract time, until no one remembers her anymore, save for Tongresswoman Rama-Gutierrez and her family. GMA has every right to do that, unless the family of Ms LaBate’s boyfriend buys out her contract (which includes the reimbursement of the amount of money invested to build up her career and image). Any professional athlete under contractual obligation but wishes to move to another team either have to wait until their contract lapses or simply buys out the contract (of course, only superstars have the money and the gumption to do this, which unfortunately, neither Ms LaBate nor the family of her backers have;  maybe TV5 despite its monetary difficulties could be conned into providing the funds for the buy out? After all, her would-be sister-in-law is presumed to be a princess dowager there.)

Just go back to school Sarah and by the time you graduate, your contract with GMA are already ended and you are now free.

Kaya nga tinawag na contract e. Sana nirespeto naman niya yun. Hindi basta disappearing act na lang. Be professional naman.

  • nitesoul

she could have just kept quiet and requested GMA to have her released instead of ranting on Twitter… geez.. stupid move Sarah.
