‘Bwakaw’ fails to make Oscars’ list for best foreign language film

MANILA, Philippines — The short list for best foreign language film for the Oscars is out and the Philippines’ entry “Bwakaw” failed to make it, says director Jun Robles Lana.

    Totoo po ang ilang perceptions dito na may konting politics ang Oscars. Pero sa totoo lang po. Ang gaganda talaga ng mga foreign language nominees taon taon. Ilan pa po ito sa unforgettable — City of God (Brazil), Amelie (France), Life is Beautiful (Italy) and Crouching Tiger, HIdden Dragon (China), probably the most successful Foreign Language winner. Thy Womb ang chance natin next year. Let us all pray.
