Eddie Garcia still surprises
Lina Canares, housewife: “At 80-plus, Eddie Garcia still surprises. I was bowled over by his portrayal in ‘Bwakaw.’ His recent Best Actor triumphs are well-deserved. Can somebody write a book about him, so younger actors can learn from him?”
Louie Santos, student: “There’s no doubt that Vice Ganda’s MMFF entry, ‘Sisteraka,’ costarring Ai-Ai delas Alas and Kris Aquino, will be another crowd-drawer. But, can it beat the box-office tandem of Vic Sotto and Bong Revilla? If Vice Ganda wins, it would only prove that his previous box-office starrers were no fluke.”
May Sanico, office employee: “I admire Liezel Garcia, because she sings like an angel. Her voice is pleasing to the ears, especially when she hits her high notes without much effort. I saw her sing a cappella on TV—and she blew me away!”
Nelson Sales, televiewer: “One TV commercial that makes me sad and smile at the same time is that of a blind beggar, and the beautiful girl with a harelip who gives him alms. It’s a breath of fresh air—and perfect for this season of giving!”
