MANILA, Philippines — Batangas Governor Vilma Santos said Friday that she was definitely proud about Janine Tugonon’s first runner-up finish at the Miss Universe pageant Wednesday night (Thursday in Manila).
“I am definitely proud of Ms. Janine Tugonon placing first runner-up in Miss Universe. She is really intellegent, charming and hard working in person. She is definitely the pride of the Philippines,” said Santos, Tugonon’s co-endorser in the Generics Pharmacy advertising campaign.
“I am so proud that she’s my partner and fellow endorser in the Generics Pharmacy advertising campaign. Congratulations Janine. We will continue to work on our advocacy regarding providing affordable health care with our Generics Pharmacy family,” said Santos.
