Jacky Woo wins Best Actor plum in PH-directed movie at NY fest
MANILA, Philippines — Japanese actor Jacky Woo won best actor for Filipino filmmaker Adolfo Alix Jr.’s “Haruo” at the International Film Festival Manhattan held in New York, according to the festival’s website.
Alix himself told the Philippine Daily Inquirer that Woo attended the event and even delivered parts of his acceptance speech in Filipino.
