‘Alagwa’ goes to four fests
After the Busan fest, Ian Dean Loreños’ “Alagwa (Breakaway)” will be screened in four international festivals this month. The indie drama, which top-bills Jericho Rosales, will have screenings in Cambodia and in three fests in India: Chennai, Kochi and Bangalore. According to its producer Bianca Balbuena, there are more film fests in the works next year. “Alagwa” merited a positive review from The Hollywood Reporter when it was shown in Busan, South Korea, last October.
