Cheer Factor: Lea Salonga in ‘Ragtime’ concert

Filipino singer-actress Lea Salonga joins the concert staging of “Ragtime,” with fellow Tony winner Tyne Daly. The show will be held at the Avery Fisher Hall of the Lincoln Center in New York on February 18.

Salonga will play the role of Mother in the Tony-winning musical based on an EL Doctorow novel. Salonga posted on Facebook: “Might be a good idea…to learn those Mother songs.”—Bayani San Diego Jr.
