Actress Pilar Pilapil stabbed several times
MANILA, Philippines – Actress and former beauty queen Pilar Pilapil was found in a grassy lot in Antipolo City with at least five stab wounds in the body after she was allegedly abducted by two armed men, police said.
Senior Superintendent Manuel Prieto, Rizal provincial director, said Pilapil, 60, was now confined at the Medical City Hospital in Pasig City but her medical condition was unknown.
Shortly before midnight on Thursday, Pilapil was found wounded, pleading for help on a grassy lot in Piedra Blanca Subdivision in Barangay Luiz in Antipolo City, Prieto said.
The actress was immediately taken by an ambulance to Medical City Hospital in Pasig City.
According to police’s initial investigation, Pilapil with her driver Rossel Rossalem were aboard their gold Kia car parked at the Marikina Riverbank when they were highjacked by two armed men.
“Dinala sila kung saan saan. Tapos ibinaba siya sa Antipolo,” Prieto said.
The armed men took the driver Rossel and fled aboard Pilapil’s Kia car.
Prieto said Rizal and Marikina police were conducting an investigation.
