‘Thy Womb’ joins MMFF

Brillante Ma. Mendoza’s “Thy Womb” is now an official entry in this year’s Metro Manila Film Festival, Wilson Tieng, head of Solar, the film’s distributor, told the Inquirer. “Thy Womb,” the country’s entry in the recently concluded Venice International Film Festival, will take over the slot vacated by Chris Martinez and Jerrold Tarog’s “Mga Kuwento ni Lola Basyang,” which backed out on Oct. 17, according to producer Unitel.
