Take ‘The Devils Ride’ this Sept. on Discovery Channel

MANILA, Philippines – It’s more than a hobby and certainly more than a motorcycle club. It’s a tight-knit brotherhood, an unbreakable tie brought together by the common passion for life, the audacity to stare fear in the eye, the satisfaction of pushing limits and the vehemence for rip-roaring engines and high-speed thrills. So grab your leather jackets, put on your skid lids and get ready to start your engines; it’s time to go on The Devils Ride. For the first time ever, enter the gritty world of a real motorcycle club and witness the boundless excitement and misadventures of the nomadic Laffing Devils, one of South California’s biggest and fastest growing motorcycle clubs. Travel at top speed with the Laffing Devils on The Devils Ride, premiering Thursday, September 13, at 11:00 p.m. Encores every Friday at 4:00 p.m. and Saturday at 8:00 p.m.

The Devils Ride sets all biker stereotypes on fire and trails the motley crew of the Laffing Devils, a group so diverse yet so bonded by their commitment to each other and the club. At the helm of this boisterous amity is Laffing Devils president Gipsy, who must balance the club’s growing ranks with pressure from older members to maintain the status quo. An ex-Marine who served in Iraq, Gipsy credits the club for helping him deal with the emotional scars of war. Then there is Billy the Kid, the club vice president who constantly waits in the wings wondering if he will ever have the chance to lead the pack. The Devils Ride also features Snubz, a younger member who banishes banal biker misconceptions and labels with his degree in finance and full time corporate job in retail management.

In this six-part series of big egos, attitudes and flaring tempers, The Devils Ride finds the Laffing Devils not only in open conflict internally, but also at risk of losing their homebase. Their unofficial headquarters is an auto body shop owned by fellow member Hawkster, but increasing police surveillance and pressure might force the club to find a new home. Moving is going to cost the club money so Gipsy seeks out security work for the Laffing Devils guarding a liquor store in a highly dangerous part of town. Will their new responsibilities pit the club against one another?

On The Devils Ride, experience the trials and tribulations of what would-be club members must do to prove themselves to have the honour of being “patched in”. Watch as determined prospective club members serve for at least a year before they can gain the respect of the Laffing Devils and be voted into the comradeship. In order to secure his spot, prospect Charles is assigned an official club task of protecting some of the “ol’ ladies”, the club’s wives and girlfriends, on a night out. When a pushy photographer gets too close for comfort, things get heated and the situation gets physical. Will Charles ever earn the reverence of the club and more importantly, his Laffing Devils patch?

Catch all the action and drama unfold in the The Devils Ride.
