Handsome actor pulls strings to meet visiting hunk; actress beats him to it

By

JUDY Ann Santos

Now, this should be a red flag even for the most open-minded.

Handsome Actor sent feelers to the handlers of Visiting Hunk. HA purportedly wanted to meet VH for possible projects.

Right.

Curiously enough, VH is a dead ringer for HA. Narcissus, is that you? Talk about double jeopardy.

Well, HA was too slow, and Stunning Actress beat him to the punch.

JULIE Anne San Jose

In a big show biz gathering, SA pulled enough strings to be  seated beside VH. So Veteran Artist, who would have been VH’s seatmate, landed in a chair far, far away.

Suddenly sweet

REGINE Velasquez

Show Town denizens never cease to amuse.

Gorgeous Actress is the opposite of Miss Amity. But GA was suddenly friendly when she bumped into some media people recently, bussing and greeting each one while smiling sweetly.

Could it be because GA has been getting bad press of late? Or maybe because GA’s most recent project flopped big time?

Just minutes later, when a bunch of fans asked for a snapshot, GA was her usual snappish self.

Some things never change. Ever.

Kindness of strangers

Showbiz Insider is in dire straits. Like Blanche DuBois, SI now relies on the kindness of strangers to meet skyrocketing medical expenses.

Fortunately, generous benefactors have rushed to SI’s aid.

Major Producer extended a helping hand, showering SI with projects that would solve any cash-flow problem and lift the spirits as well.

Glamorous Beauty has a secret: She once had a fling with Acclaimed Star.

GB recalls that AS was a dynamo in the boudoir. She found out soon enough that AS was Famous Filmmaker’s kept boy.

It became clear to her: “That’s why FF rejected me for a movie role!”

Don’t look far

“We have so many beautiful locations just outside Metro Manila,” says Lando Perez-Jacob, whose comeback directorial vehicle, E Men’s Films “Wanted Boarders,” opens this month in select theaters.

The bold-drama introduces actress-producer Elona Mendoza, who is determined to make more indie films. Already, a follow-up project, “Mapaghanap,” also written and directed by Jacob, is in postproduction.

Top of the Talk Shows

GERALD Anderson

For those who missed last weekend’s TV gabfests  (And why we are moved, if we are moved):

Epy Quizon on accepting his father Dolphy’s death: “Ngayon pa lang nagsi-sink in na wala na si Daddy … Nag-uuulan pa so medyo melancholic ang pakiramdam.” (Heaven seems to be having a tough time dealing with his passing, too.)

Lucy Torres-Gomez on husband Richard Gomez’ plans to run for mayor of Ormoc City: “I have full confidence in my husband’s ability. I know that he’ll do a wonderful job; he has always had this calling to serve.” (That’s no guarantee, but let’s see.)

Vilma Santos, asked if she has a Twitter account: “Yes, but it’s a secret! I’m trying to be techie. Pero mas gusto ko lang at this point in time magbasa.” (Try iBooks.)

Julie Anne San Jose on onscreen sweetheart Elmo Magalona: “Parang halos araw-araw kami magkasama. Parang kulang na lang magkapalit kami ng mukha! Mas nagiging open na kami.” (Sounds like Kris and Vice Ganda.)

Regine Velasquez on returning to “Party Pilipinas”: “Bonggang-bongga ang Sunday ko. Sa gabi naman may lagare akong labada at plantsa!” (Wife and mommy ka na, Songbird.)

Derek Ramsay, asked if he’s open to a new relationship: “I’d prefer [a] non-show biz [girl]. It’s one of my rules now.” (Did the earth move or did all non-show biz girls jump for joy?)

Judy Ann Santos on her rumored rift with manager Alfie Lorenzo: “Kami naman ni Tito Alfie lagi kaming may mga ganyan. May mga pagkakataon lang talaga na may mga sitwasyon na gusto mong ayusin behind the cameras because it’s too personal.” (You’re in show biz, girl.)

Gerald Anderson on courting Sarah Geronimo: “I’m taking this panliligaw kay Sarah as a learning journey. Ang dami ko pong natutunan sa kanya at sa sarili ko.” (Such as … no man will ever be good enough for the mom?)

Angelica Jones on her boyfriend breaking up with her after getting her pregnant: “Iniisip ko hindi isang kahihiyan ’to. It is a blessing and I’m very proud to say na magiging mommy ako kahit ’di ako kasal.” (Good girl, bad dog.)

Cristina Decena on husband Ariel Villasanta breaking up with her through text: “Meron ba namang ganun? Mag-asawa kayo, bigla ka na lang ite-text na ayaw mo na? Ano ’yun laro?” (Goodness, who let the dogs out?!)

HA was only a pure fan of VH.

It sounds like he just wants to be friendly.

Only gay people think that this move is showing his homosexuality tendencies.

To the writer (or gay writer I should say), there is nothing wrong with being friendly. Get a life, leave those handsome actors alone. They are also humans. They need male friends too.

When PDI will stop this idiotic manner to put abbreviations and dumb descriptions instead of names? Are the srories not always true so that PDI is afraid of charges if there are names? It looks like that. Because those who are insiders know all anyway and the “normal” reader can not do much with the abbreviations. So, this reports are totally senseless and useless, just filling space.
