Close-door policy
The gala screening of Jun Lana’s “Bwakaw” at the Cinemalaya fest last Monday was a certified success—filling up the Main Theater of the Cultural Center of the Philippines to the rafters.
But doors of the theater were shut 30 minutes before the start of the screening. Even media people were refused entry and instructed by ushers to proceed to the balcony section.
The orchestra seats were apparently reserved for guest stars and starlets—some of whom had no connection with the film, or the indie scene for that matter.
