Celebrities gather for Dolphy’s funeral

RAFFY LERMA

MANILA, Philippines – Local celebrities gathered on Sunday for comedy king Rodolfo Vera “Dolphy” Quizon’s funeral at the Heritage Park in Taguig City, radio reports said.

Among those spotted at the Heritage Park, aside from family members, were talent manager Annabelle Rama and husband Gutierrez, Maricel Soriano, Eddie Garcia, Ricky Davao, Vhong Navarro, Edu Manzano, Gio Alvarez, and Maybelline dela Cruz, a Radyo Inquirer 990AM report said.

Alvarez and dela Cruz worked with Dolphy in “Home Along da Riles,” former sitcom show of ABS-CBN.

Another radio report also mentioned other stars like Susan Roces, Carmi Martin and Bembol Roco.

The celebrities, the report said, were all wearing white, except for Dolphy’s common-law wife, Zsa Zsa Padilla, who was wearing black.
