FANS’ DAY

Jericho Rosales’ masterful portrayal lauded

By

ROSALES. Depth of character.

PATRICIA Flores, student: “One TV series that has caught my attention is TV5’s “Kwentong Kanto.” It is hosted by Carlos Celdran and features the history of the streets and other places in Metro Manila.

“Recently it featured Jones Bridge, and I thought it was presented in an interesting manner. The show is fast-paced, and benefits from well-conceptualized and executed graphics that blend well with the host’s narration.”

Cathrina Margarejo, homemaker: “When we were kids, we always looked forward to watching ‘John and Marsha’ because of one true, entertaining, funny, lovable artist named Dolphy! Thank you for bringing laughter and love into our homes!”

Other views:

Marla Cruzado, mass communications professor:  “‘Kung Ako’y Iiwan Mo’ is about many things—not the least of which is the deterioration of a person’s moral fiber due to loneliness when he works abroad. At the center of this teleserye is faith and how it continues to operate in the lives of those who are there, and the families left behind. Jake Cuenca and Shaina Magdayao turn in commendable performances.

“It was also sheer joy watching Jericho Rosales in ‘Dahil sa Pag-ibig.’ He had a depth of character that was truly striking. His mastery of his role contributed substantively to the teleserye’s moving ending.”

Wardrobe

Renz Sevilla, photographer: “Is it just me who finds Charice ‘grandstanding’ on ABS-CBN’s ‘X-Factor Philippines’? I’m not sure what’s going on in her mind. From her wardrobe, her looks, and all the way to conveying her comments, nothing has been in the right place since the show’s first telecast.

“Is she doing this because she thinks she’s bigger than the other three judges, due to her international success? They too have achived a lot here and abroad, but they show mutual respect and never attempt to get the better of each other to prove their superiority.”

I’m just wondering why X-factor Philippines didn’t get renz sevilla as judge,it looks like,he thinks he is a good judge of character….
Charice is a pure blooded filipina, and her talent is homegrown…but i find it absurd and stupid that her own countrymen are the ones pulling her down…they cant seem to be happy for her achievements and honor she is giving to the country….she is opening doors for other pinoy talents to be noticed overseas….
Charice is a singer…hence she was picked as judge in a singing contest…no brainer there…
she is only 20 years of age..she is still finding her own fingerprint…dont expect her to dress up and act as a 40 year old….
she was picked by abs-cbn as judge, but the final approval comes from x-factor UK…
to renz sevilla, stick to photography ok…what does her looks and attire got to do with judging talents?
next time do your research, before commenting…go to you tube..you can see lots of behind the scenes video there…where all 4 judges are in good terms, laughing and at ease with each other….no grandstanding!
to those envious, jealous people…post your evidence here that Charice stepped on the toes of anyone..and i’ll believe you…otherwise SHUT-UP!!!
