Sen. Lapid pays respects to Dolphy

MANILA, Philippines — Senator Lito Lapid paid his respects to fellow actor Rodolfo Vera “Dolphy” Quizon Thursday.
Lapid, who was interviewed at the Heritage Memorial Park where Dolphy’s remains lie, recalled his memorable moments with the comedian, saying they had been like brothers for the longest time.
Lapid said Dolphy had a great sense of humor, but was very serious with his job.
“He’s a comedian but when you’re with him in a shooting he doesn’t say anything. He’s a very decent person. When he’s in front of the camera, I end up having two or three takes because he would suddenly turn comic,” said Lapid in Filipino.
Lapid said he worked with Dolphy for almost two years in a movie, and even doubled for him in stunts.
