Preggy Lara

Miss International 2005 Precious Lara Quigaman is now officially Mrs. Marco Alcaraz.

Lara, who married Marco on Sunday, is due to give birth to their baby boy, whom they are naming Noah, in November.

Last year, on Jan. 1, they wed in civil rites in Canada. They just had to do the big Christian wedding in Manila for their folks and friends here.

“Noah’s arrival is the best early Christmas gift,” beams Lara. “Si Marco ang pinaglilihian ko. I don’t let him out of my sight. He wants me to give birth abroad but I’d rather do it here because our hospital care is different.”

The guests at their nuptials were moved when Marco kissed Lara’s tummy. The bride and groom shed happy tears as they exchanged vows.

Maternity leave

Amy Perez is on maternity leave from her top-rating TV5 show, “Face to Face.” Gelli de Belen will pinch-hit for her as Pambansang Kapitana until Amy gives birth.

“All that fighting on the show is so stressful, so my doctor advised me to take a break,” Amy explains.

How did her sons Adi and Kyle react to the news of a new sibling? “Adi’s super-excited. He broke the news to the family,” Amy recounts. “Carlo (her partner) and I still have to talk to Kyle.”

The “Face to Face” queen has gone through many phases in the name of love. Her heart has finally found its home for better or for worse—and for keeps.
