House will still tackle resolution on Dolphy’s National Artist award – Rep. Escudero

MANILA, Philippines – Despite the death of Comedy King Dolphy, the House of Representative will still tackle a resolution seeking to declare the actor-comedian a National Artist.

Sorsogon Rep. Salvador Escudero III told Radyo Inquirer 990AM Tuesday night that lawmakers will convene on July 23 to discuss the issue.

He said lawmakers may also recommend a posthumous award for Dolphy.

Multuhin mo kaya mang Pidol?

Much better if the nomination comes the Evaluation Committee provided by law, to insulate it from politics. I think Dolphy would have preferred it that way.
