PH film wins in US fest

Filipino director Joey Agbayani’s short film “Lola” won best animated movie at the Fright Night Film Festival last week in Louisville, Kentucky. Agbayani told the Inquirer that the honor came as a surprise. “I did not expect it. There were a total of 140 films in the different categories.” It’s the seventh international honor for the film, he said. It previously won in Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Toronto and Atlanta festivals.
