MANILA, Philippines—Veteran actor-comedian Rodolfo “Dolphy” Quizon seems to be getting better as one actress-visitor told reporters Friday night that the comedy king smiled back at her.

Actress Snooky Serna visited Dolphy Friday evening and though she could only wave at him from the glass wall outside the Intensive Care Unit of the Makati Medical Center, she said the actor-comedian’s condition seemed to be improving.

She said she simply wanted to convey the family’s message that Dolphy’s condition has improved. Quoting Eric Quizon, son of Dolphy, she said, “things are getting better.”

Initially, it was supposed to be fellow actor Maricel Soriano who was asked to speak to the media but she got sick due to the daily activities related to taking care of Dolphy.

She said she has mixed emotions about the deluge of friends and relatives.

She said she’s happy seeing the relatives and friends of Dolphy gathering for him but it makes her sad at the same time because Dolphy is in that kind of situation.
