Jessica Sanchez’s Philippine tour ‘not true,’ says promoter

MANILA, Philippines – The reported Philippine tour of Filipino-American singing sensation Jessica Sanchez carried by the Philippine Daily Inquirer and its news website was refuted by her promoter in an email sent to this reporter.

Renen de Guia, head of Ovation Productions and promoter of the Idol show on September 21 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum, sent an e-mail to this reporter to refute the announcement which thousands of people have reposted online.

“There is no truth to the news item you put out the other day (June 19) in the Inquirer on Jessica Sanchez’ performing in 5 cities in the Philippines after American Idol. Jessica’s management company 19 Entertainment has tweeted the following: ‘Contrary to many false reports, @JSanchezAI11′s ONLY performance in the Philippines will be 9/21 in Manila as part of the Idol Live Tour.’”

Apparently, De Guia and 19 Entertainment were caught unaware by negotiations being undertaken by other promoters to bring Jessica as a solo act to the Philippines, where her mother, Editha Bugay, was born.

The source, who gave the go-signal to break the news that Sanchez’s Philippine tour has been confirmed, may have acted in haste, said a second source connected to Radio High 105.9 – the Manila FM radio station involved in the negotiations.

“It was a premature announcement. There are no confirmed dates yet, although there are indeed negotiations ongoing. The Philippine tour may or may not happen,” said the second source who requested anonymity due to his crucial role in the deal.

In the meantime, he encouraged the Filipino public to watch the Idol concert, featuring Sanchez and 10 other finalists, on September 21 at the Big Dome.

It’s not called FIL-AM Idol. It doesn’t also means that if you’re Half Filipino, you are disqualified. Jessica is American. She was born there, She grew up there. She is Half Mexican and Half Filipino. She can’t speak Tagalog nor Mexican. But she’s still Proud of being American, Half Filipino, Half Mexican. Let’s respect that, please!

Jessica doesn`t need your above mentioned statement, i am sure she is far sexier than you or to any woman of your choice and her skin is the most beautiful skin a person could ever have. Where do you live then ? I have already a dark skin and I still want that during summer time i will get still a darker skin than Jessica`s skin saving it for the winter time. Mind you, even if we go for a winter holiday where we are 3 thousands feet above sea level, we will still grab the opportunity to soak our face above the snow while the sun is shining bright above us. I guess you must be living in a country where people cannot accept nor contented and happy with their real identity, what a shame and you are such a pitiful person. Your comments are not humurous. I don’t know, I was born and raised in the Philippines but I never heard such kind of humor in my life. Its not funny at all, in fact its so embarrasing because people read your comments all over the world and how other people in the world look at all of you as a Filipinos. I am a Filipino by birth but have Chinese and Japanese heritage. I may not look like a Filipino but Im an Asian. I believe that all people regardless of sex, color, race, heritage, height so on and so forth need to be respected. You should start learning that.

Trust me, if you start seeing the good things on other people good things in your life will come out. I was raised by my parents that way and I will tell you my life has been fruitful. SMILE and be HAPPY that one of your own has made it to the hollywood. You have no idea how tough she had been through to just make it there. Its going to be toughier and harder because Asian is not accepted yet, making her to be there will open to other Asians to make it to the hollywood. I know, because I live her.
