Makati Med says sorry over media reprimand

MANILA, Philippines—Makati Medical Center has released an apology for an earlier “emotional reprimand” on several members of the media covering the hospitalization there of Dolphy.
In a statement, Makati Med Director Dr. Eric Nubla Jr., MD apologized to the media who were reprimanded for gathering at the hospital’s lobby.

Despite the apology, he reasoned that the “unnecessary presence of such individuals can actually inconvenience other patients and their families.”
He said that media who camped outside the hospital also affected traffic in the area.
