On the senatorial outburst

During a press con on Wednesday, Mary Grace Poe-Llamanzares, chair of the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board, was asked about Sen. Miriam Defensor-Santiago’s outburst during the just-concluded televised impeachment hearings. At one point, the senator-judge dropped a four-letter word that starts with the letter G.

Llamanzares said coverage of the trial fell under “straight presentation of a breaking news event” and couldn’t be sanctioned by the Board.

The trial was given the classification Parental Guidance. There was no violation, she asserted, but pointed out that the public looked up to lawmakers, who should therefore conduct themselves properly in public. She said the Board “continues to respect the goals of networks to entertain and inform the public.” Bayani San Diego Jr.

Can someone create a Face Book acct. for Brenda where we all can show our protest against her kabastusan and abusive ways? It’s time to let her know that people can no longer put up with and are sick of her ugly face and behavior, and show her what a disgrace she is. She craves so much attention so let’s give her the right dosage of it – the very unpleasant kind.

Someone should post her outburst on YouTube. I’m sure it’ll be a hit. It might even reach the ICC and declare her psychologically incompetent. What a shame!

Wag mo naman sabihin na kabastusan ang mga sinasabi ni Miriam. Alam mo kahit ako kung puedi lang magsisigaw sa mga hipokrito na mga politkung yon magsisigaw ako palagi sa maga ginagawa nila araw araw lahat corruption ang ginagawa at mayroon pasilang mukhang sabihin sa isang taong, huy ikaw ay corrupt kailangan ka maalis sa puesto mo. Ang totoo wala pa akong nakitang politico sa provincia namin na hindi corrupt na corrupt. Hindi ibig sabihin a kumo hindi sila pa napatunayan sa husgado sila kurakot gunit nakikita ko naman na pagnasa puesto na sila at pagkatapos ng kanilang term mga milyonaryo na sila at lahat ng membro ng kanilang pamilya ay tag iisa na ng mamahalin sasakyan at nagtatayoan ng mga magagarang mga bahay. Kung kagaya lang ako ni Mirriam bakit hindi ko sasabin ang totoo sa in proper time and in proper place kagaya sa impeachment court na alam naman natin na ang mga 188 congressmen na yan ay mga kurakot kasama na yong mga senator-judges. Hindi ba si Jesucristo nagsisigaw at nagtatapon ng kahit ano upoan, lamisa at iba pa ng gawing market place ang lugar ng kanyan ama o holy place. Sinabi ba natin na basto si Jesus?

hindi pa kasi nahuhuli yang mga korap na sinasabi mo kaya maghintay lang tayo dahil ituituloy ni Pnoy ang pag-sugpo sa kanila. Isa-isa lang dahil mahina ang kalaban. Kung gusto ni Miriam na sugpuin ang korapsyon e di sana kahit best friend sila ni Corona eh dapat bumoto sya ng ‘guilty’ dahil ang loyalty ay dapat sa taong bayan at hindi sa ibang dahilan.

at ang sinasabi kong kabastusan ni Miriam ay hindi yung pag-tuligsa nya sa korap kundi yung ugali nya na mang-verbal abuse ng mga kaharap nya na pakiramdam nya lagi ay sya na ang pinakamagaling na nilalang sa balat ng lupa at lahat ng lumalabas sa bunganga nya ay tama at walang pwedeng mag-disagree. ang pangit na nga ng itsura nya ang pangit pa ng way nya magsalita at ang pangit pa ng diction at accent nya. no offense. ;] at isa pa huwag mo naman banggitin ang name ni Jesus at isama in the same sentence with Miriam’s name in it dahil baka tamaan ka ng kidlat because that is blasphemy. no offense.

The trouble with Defensor is she might have the brains but she really behaves and thinks like a lunatic. The put-on accent, the face-only-her-mother-would-love, the talsik-laway lectures and terminology rich but senseless speeches are just too much to watch. All these years paano ito tiniiis ng mga kasama niya sa trabaho. Hasn’t anyone ever told her the truth about how people really see her? Has anyone showed her a video of her? Rude, unprofessional, CONDESCENDING. Pranka, yes, pero sa maling dahilan and paraan. The nerve to be scolding middle aged professionals in public yet she went ballistic when someone showed contempt. Bastos na pangit pa might be too cruel to describe her…but thats how she come across to most of us except to people who have similar personalities as her.

Correct! Senator Santiago in her explanation of her vote for not guilty could have criticized the prosecution team for their inept presentation of evidence against the Chief Justice without resorting to vulgar language which belongs to the gutter. Contrast her demeanor with Senate President Juan Ponce Enrile in lecturing both the prosecution and defense panel. She may be the most intelligent human being on earth but it is not an excuse to insult and belittle her fellow human being.

Majority of the public does not take Senator Santiago seriously anymore. Most especially her colleagues in the senate. They would not censure her rantings and just see it as entertainment. The public sees her for what she is. Just an insecure, hungry for attention, insensitive, grandstanding and insensible public figure.
