No sibling rivalry between Rap, Renz

/ 07:45 PM June 28, 2011

ZSAZSA Padilla

Rudy Fernandez and Lorna Tolentino’s sons Rap and Renz are now officially contract stars of ABS-CBN. How does Rap handle the pressure of being compared to his famous parents?

“I don’t let the pressure get the better of me,” he says. “As my mom told me, I should focus on my craft and block everything not related to work.”

Isn’t there any sibling rivalry brewing between him and Renz? “Renz and I are supportive of each other,” he points out. “So is my half-brother Mark Anthony who gives me advice.

No itch to get hitched

Zsazsa Padilla is overjoyed that the annulment of her marriage to Dr. Modesto Tatlonghari has finally been granted.

So what are her wedding plans with Tito Dolphy? “No concrete plans yet,” she says. “I got married when I was only 16 so I told my three daughters to enjoy their careers and single-blessedness before they rush into marriage. But when they’re ready, I want them to give me as many grandkids as possible.”

With all the storms that Zsa and Tito Dolphy have weathered, they feel even more married than some couples who just stay together for show.

Grand escape

A dashing politico who’s being linked to a Show biz Personality rushed out in the middle of an important meeting when he was informed by his secretary that SP was on her way to his office.

He’s avoiding her like the plague.

While other politicos would orchestrate ways to be linked to the popular figure for publicity mileage, this politico has way too much class to be dragged into SP’s messy life.

Hot pursuit

Could it be true that a hot young actress is pregnant? And the “culprit” is a political scion? If she’s really on the family way, would that get in the way of her blossoming career?

Vice without Jon

All roads lead to the Big Dome on July 1 for “Vice Ganda: Todong Sampol Sa Araneta!” 8 p.m. The comedian is said to have exhausted all means to come up with a good show, even hiring an illusionist to teach him how to levitate. He will also do pole-dancing.

His guests Enchong Dee, Billy Crawford, Cristine Reyes, Toni Gonzaga and Xian Lim will have their bonggang moments with Vice which will more than tickle the audience’s funny bone.

But why isn’t his close friend Jon Avila joining the show? “He was a guest in my first concert,” Vice explains. “Pero sa puso ko di siya guest. Dun na siya talaga nakatira.”

What does Jon have to say about this? “I guess that’s just another way of saying that we’re good friends,” says Jon.

Personal:  Birthday hugs and kisses to one of my truest friends ever, Louie Heredia! Happy 18th birthday to my fab ahijada Mikaela Rama.
