Jessica Sanchez, Phillip Phillips in a tie after Round 2 in ‘Idol’ finals

LOS ANGELES — After round 2, it’s a tie between Jessica Sanchez and Phillip Phillips in their head-to-head for the next “American Idol”.

Jennifer Lopez gave round 2 to Phillips, Steven Tyler for Sanchez while Randy Jackson called it a tie.

Sanchez and Phillips are the final two contestants. The winner will be crowned Wednesday night.

If the 16-year old Sanchez wins, she’ll be first girl to win the competition since Jordin Sparks took home the crown five years ago.
